Our timeline

Our company is built on a foundation of family values, a bold vision and relentless determination to continuously raise the bar and make a positive difference in the world

1972

Our Founder, Anthony von Mandl, founded a wine importing & distribution company in Vancouver, Canada called Mark Anthony Wine Merchants, which today is known as the Mark Anthony Group.

1999

Mark Anthony Group launched Mike’s Hard Lemonade in the US on April Fools' Day in New England.

2002-2006

Mark Anthony Group invested in & created a patentable technology that created a new category in the U.S. Beer Selection: Premium Malt Cocktails.

2016

Mark Anthony Group launched White Claw in the U.S.

2019

Mark Anthony Brewing set off on a journey that would transform our business model, taking us from 100% contract manufacturing to creating in-house capability through building 3 state-of-the-art breweries over the course of 30 months.

June 2020

Mark Anthony Brewing establishes the Hillside Brewery in Hillside, New Jersey. Their first production run was on June 8th, 2020.

October 2020

Mark Anthony Brewing establishes the Glendale Brewery in Waddell, Arizona. Their first production run was on October 7th, 2020.

November 2021

Mark Anthony Brewing establishes the Columbia Brewery in Columbia, South Carolina. Their first production run was on November 10th, 2021.

Awards and Recognitions

Honors that reflect our commitment to excellence

We host the annual Mark Anthony Brewing Awards to recognize our manufacturing team members for their hard work and achievements.

In 2022, MAB was awarded the Manufacturing Innovation Award from ProFood World for building the largest and most technologically advanced brewery in the U.S. in last 28 years.

We have donated more than $100,000 to Sustain SC and The Nature Conservancy – Arizona.

The Mark Anthony Group of Companies and the von Mandl family have donated more than $5.25 million to support the BCRF’s research efforts globally.

Our 3 breweries are AA Certified through the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standards.

We received the CONNECT 2022 Logistics as a Service Excellence Award for best-in-class collaboration with e2open’s Logistics as a Service team.
